Lucknow: Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Kumar Khanna said that a total revenue of Rs 17111.00 crore was received in the month of October of the financial year 2024-25 in the main tax-non-tax revenue items, whereas a revenue of Rs 15041.46 crore was received in the month of October of the financial year 2023-24.
Thus, Rs 2069.54 crore more revenue has been received in the month of October of the current year as compared to the month of October of last year. He informed that Rs 8970.43 crore has been received in the month of October of the current financial year under State Tax.
It is is Rs 413.22 crore more than the revenue received in the same period last year. Under GST, a total revenue of Rs 6799.27 crore was received in the month of October, 2024, whereas last year in the month of October, 2023, the receipt was Rs 6266.95 crore. Under VAT, a revenue of Rs 2171.16 crore was received in the month of October, 2024, whereas last year in the month of October, 2023, the receipt was Rs 2290.26 crore.
The Finance Minister informed that under Excise, a total revenue of Rs 3767.72 crore has been received in the month of October, 2024, which is 80.2 percent of the target set for revenue receipt in the month of October. Whereas last year in the month of October, 2023, the receipt in the excise item was Rs 3326.16 crore. Under Stamp and Registration, the revenue receipt for the month of October, 2024 is Rs 2890.88 crore, which is 90.3 percent of the target set for this period.
Whereas last year in the month of October, 2023, the receipt was Rs 2026.28 crore. Thus, the receipt in the Stamp and Registration item is Rs 864.60 crore more in the month of October this year as compared to the month of October last year.
Under Transport, the revenue receipt for the month of October, 2024 is Rs 1074.76 crore, which is 86.2 percent of the target set for revenue receipt in this period. Whereas last year in the month of October, 2023, the receipt was Rs 856.28 crore. He informed that under the major item of non-tax revenue, geology and mining, the receipt in the month of October, 2024 is Rs 407.21 crore, whereas in the month of October, 2023 last year, the receipt was Rs 275.53 crore.
Suresh Kumar Khanna informed that till the month of October of the financial year 2024-25, against the target of revenue receipt of Rs 156981.89 crore under State Tax, Rs 64103.33 crore has been received, which is 40.8 percent of the target. Under State Tax, Rs 47598.67 crore has been received under GST and Rs 16504.66 crore under VAT. Under the excise item, till the month of October, against the target of revenue receipt of Rs 58307.56 crore, Rs 26332.02 crore has been received. Whereas last year till this period, against the set target of Rs 58000 crore, Rs 23552.70 crore was received. In stamp and registration till the month of October of the current financial year, against the set target of Rs 35651.93 crore, Rs 17723.32 crore has been received, which is 49.7 percent of the set target.
Till this period last year, against the set target of Rs 34560 crore, Rs 15438.55 crore was received. Under the transport item till the month of October, against the set target of Rs 12504.73 crore, Rs 6374.46 crore has been received. Whereas in the same period last year, against the set revenue target of Rs 12672 crore, Rs 5594.83 crore was received. Under the major item of non-tax revenue, geology and mining, till the month of October of the financial year 2024-25, the target of revenue receipt of Rs 2036.43 crore has been achieved against the set target of Rs 5500 crore.
